T he National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) and Rock Prod- ucts are teaming up to support the in‐ dustry's Young Leaders. Rock Products has been named Official Sponsor of the Mark S. Walsh Annual Leadership Award – presented each year at the Young Leaders annual convention – to an individual who exemplifies the lead‐ ership traits of professionalism, enthu‐ siasm and commitment, and whose efforts in improving and developing the image and programs of the Young Lead‐ ers are in keeping with the example set forth by the honoree of this award. The award is named after the late Mark S. Walsh, comptroller of producer mem‐ ber Rein, Shultz and Dahl of Illinois and an active member of the Young Leaders Steering Committee. He was an ener‐ getic and enthusiastic supporter of the mission, purpose and activities of the Young Leaders. "We are pleased and honored to be the official sponsor of the Mark S. Walsh Annual Leadership Award," said Sean Carr, sales director for Rock Products. "The Young Leaders are the future of the aggregates industry, and honoring their industry contributions and vi‐ sion for the future is in keeping with our mission to be on the forefront of aggregates industry growth and development." "We are thrilled to partner with Rock Products on this important award to in‐ spire future generations to collaborate and innovate," said NSSGA President and CEO, Michael W. Johnson. "This award isn't just about recognizing the young people who are sustaining our industry, it is about developing the leaders that will build a better industry and a better America. If the aggregates industry is doing well, America is doing well." In addition to the Mark S. Walsh Annual Leadership Award, Rock Products will be the Lead Sponsor of NSSGA's inau‐ gural Young Leaders luncheon event held March 17, 2015, in conjunction with AGG1 and the Annual Convention in Baltimore. All aggregates industry professionals 40 years of age or younger are invited to attend this complimentary lunch and learning session. A keynote speaker will address issues of importance to young professionals and focus on the impor‐ tance of participating in state and na‐ tional trade associations. "Rock Products is committed to build‐ ing industry engagement through our magazine; digital and social media ef‐ forts; conferences; and partnerships," said Rock Products Editor Mark S. Kuhar.
