To help end users achieve these objectives, Goodyear has added a key size, 20.5R25, to the AS-3A. "This important addition completes the tire's size line-up, which covers a full range of applications and conditions, including snow and ice-covered surfaces that require excep- tional traction," said Eric Matson, global field engineering manager, Goodyear. The high net-to-gross 20.5R25 has a 40/32-in. tread depth (G3/L3) for enhanced traction. Other features of the AS-3A include: •  Specially placed blades for optimized ice and snow traction. •  Multiple groove edges for excellent traction across all surfaces. • Flexible block elements for low stone retention. •  Wide-base construction for high flotation, enhanced sta- bility and low ground pressure. •  A unique groove shape for optimized self-cleaning in all conditions. Goodyear also plans to add a high-demand retread size, 23.5R25, for the AS-3A in 2018. The new retread size will complement the existing tread rubber selection for the AS-3A, which includes sizes 14.00R24/25, 16.00R24/25, 16.00x24, 17.5R25, 20.5R25 and 20.5x25. The AS-3A range is available through Goodyear's distribution network. "Our worldwide support network helps make the Goodyear AS-3A available, when and where the tire is needed," said Matson. "We also offer comprehensive after-sale services, such as on-site consultations, site audits, footprint evaluations, temperature studies and tire surveys, all designed to help opti- mize the performance of the AS-3A. Our powerful management tools, including our exclusive EMTrack online tire perfor- mance management system, are available to AS-3A customers, as well. Goodyear's goal is to help end users enhance their productivity while lowering their oper- ating costs. We are confident that the now-complete Goodyear AS-3A tire line will help accomplish that." Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., www.goodyearotr.com Yokohama Tire Corp Offers Five New OTR Tires Continuing to help off-the-road (OTR) tire dealers and end-users with innova- tive ways to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency, Yokohama Tire Corp. will offer five new OTR tires with dual TRA code designations to handle both loader and transport applications. The tires with the dual markings are the RB31, RT31/RT31+, RL31, RT41 and RL45. All will feature an E/L designa- tion within the size on the sidewall. "Dual service markings make a lot of sense because they allow the flexibility for one product to serve two separate service applications," said Bruce Besan- con, Yokohama Tire senior director of OTR sales. This helps dealers con- solidate inventory cost and space, and provides end users flexibility RB31: Features a tread pattern design with a non-directional block pattern that provides both abrasion resistance and excellent traction on soft, sandy surfaces. It's the only tire in its category with four steel belts for optimum punc- ture resistance. The durable radial tire is made for articulated dump trucks, scrapers and front-end loaders. Avail- able in sizes 20.5R25 E/L3, 23.5R25 E/ L3, 26.5R25 E/L3 and 29.5R25 E/L3. RT31/RT31+: An exceptionally tough radial tire for articulated dump trucks, dozers and front-end loaders. It's super puncture-resistant thanks to four steel belts, plus an advanced tread design provides incredible traction, making it ideal for any variety of soft and muddy terrain. Comes in sizes 20.5R25 E/L3, 23.5R25 E/L3 and 26.5R25 E/L3. RL31: Runs in size 20.5R25 E/L3 and is specially designed for wheel loaders, dozers and articulated dump trucks to thrive in the most difficult mining and rocky surfaces. The radial's rock flush pattern and shoulder protector provides excellent cut resistance for the tread and sidewall, and the four steel belts provide even more puncture resistance. RT41: Incredibly strong radial tire for articulated dump trucks, scrapers and front-end loaders. Provides both abra- sion resistance and excellent traction on soft, rocky and gravel surfaces, thanks to a tread pattern design with non-di- rectional block pattern. It features four steel belts for puncture resistance, a two-ply nylon chafer for longer casing life and sturdy sidewall construction for long lasting tire life. Sizes: 23.5R25 E/ L4, 26.5R25 E/L4 and 29.5R25 E/L4. RL45: An extremely tough radial for the most demanding applications, it's made for articulated dump trucks, scrapers and front-end loaders. The advanced tread composition provides improved wear, low-heat generation and cut-re- sistance, while the zigzag-shaped groove provides better traction on rock and gravel surfaces. Available in 26.5R25 E/L4 and 29.5R25 E/L4. Yokahama Tire Corp., www.yokohamaotr.com Goodyear Adds Key Size to Its Best All-Season OTR Tire
