The Sustainability Commitments 2030 challenge us to find new solutions and think differently to make our business even more sustainable. That is what we need to ensure our corporate success over the long-term," said Dr. Bernd Scheifele, chairman of the HeidelbergCement man- aging board. To ensure that the company continues to grow sustainably, HeidelbergCement will focus on six key areas of action along the entire value chain: • Driving economic strength and innovation. • Achieving excellence in occupational health and safety. • Reducing environmental footprint. • Enabling the circular economy. • Being a good neighbor. • Ensuring compliance and creating transparency. With program development supported by representatives of all business lines and group areas, noted Dr. Bernd Scheifele, "This joint effort has already created a broad understanding of what we want to achieve as a company. Now, the Sus- tainability Commitments 2030 must become present in the minds and the daily activities of our employees, and thus reflected in our business processes." Automatic Control Unit for Materials Testing PRODUCTS ELE International launched a new automatic control unit for concrete and cement testing. The ADR Touch Control Pro brings the latest technology into the materi- als testing laboratory, while also combining a wide range of new features that have been devel- oped specifically in response to feedback from ELE's global net- work of customers. "This is the most significant prod- uct launch that ELE has made in over a decade," said ELE Manag- ing Director Tony Power. "The advantages of the ADR Touch Control Pro are now available on new compression machines, and we are also able to offer the new system as an upgrade for existing ELE cement and concrete com- pression machines." A key feature of the new machines is LAN connectivity for remote control via ELE's PC-based app, ELE Logger. This means that laboratory staff will be able to initiate and monitor tests away from the lab, and ser- vice staff will be able to conduct remote diagnostics. "The key drivers in the devel- opment process were the requirements to make testing easier, even more reliable and transparent," said Product Man- ager Adeel Hassan. "All of the most common standard tests are built into the machine and users are guided intuitively through the testing process. The new 7-in., high-resolution, color touchscreen is scratch and splash proof, and is located in a flexible head that can be rotated to 75 degrees and tilted to 45 degrees. The screen display language is available in a choice of English, Spanish, Portuguese or French, and users can set tests as 'favor- ites' for faster start-up."
