Tsubaki spent many months testing and improving its back- stop designs in response to data collected from customer visits, product inspections and in-house tests. The new and improved labyrinth seal design extends the life of the product by minimizing the ingress of dust and con- taminants. Tsubaki also uses synthetic grease in place of oil to eliminate the need for oil level checks, routine lubricant inspections, regular oil testing and the breather element – a pathway for contaminants and moisture. The new BS-F backstops are designed with the smallest envelope dimensions available in the market. This assures quick and easy field installation when replacing other man- ufacturers' backstops. The wire is an ideal solution for companies that are installing, assembling or repairing wear parts subject to sliding wear particularly in the mining, dredging, cement and power industries.
