12 • ROCK products • February 2019 IN THE KNOW Tony Basolo Dies; Former President of Dolese Bros. The aggregates industry mourns the Jan. 9 passing of Tony Basolo, a Dolese Bros. Co. executive whom many people knew and admired for his dedication to the industry and partic- ipation in the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association as well as its prede- cessor, the National Stone Association. Dolese Bros. Co. President Mark Helm released the following statement: "We are sad to inform you of the passing of Tony Basolo, the former president of Dolese Bros. Co. That very short sen- tence is inadequate to express the deep sense of loss of one who touched and influenced the lives of so many. Tony's style of leadership was unique in that he would lead and also work right along- side you. His door was always open to anyone. The principles of excellence and fairness were demonstrated as well as expected. He believed in the value of every employee in every capacity who had a part in making Dolese Bros. Co. the respected company that it is. He was a man of great faith, integrity, vision, wisdom and loyalty.
