Onsite Pirtek technicians will have this new high-performance hose on hand for their field installations. The Pirtek Endurance Series hose provides superior flexibility, accommodates a tighter bend radius than the conventional SAE hoses and is rated to higher working pressures. The black synthetic rubber compositions are resistant to oils, abrasion and effects from the ozone. It is suitable for mineral and veg- etable oils, aqueous emulsions, water, air and inert gases. This premium wire-braided hose has been tested to 1 million impulse cycles, far exceeding the minimum 200,000 impulse cycles for the conventional SAE-rated hoses. Pirtek, Marland Releases Smart Marland Monitoring System Marland Clutch recently introduced the Smart Marland Monitoring System that provides up-to-the-minute access to critical backstop operating condi- tions including vibration, temperature and oil level. The IoT solution allows users to remotely monitor the condition of their equipment from anywhere using a com- puter or cell phone. The Smart Marland Monitoring System can monitor up to six backstops from a single gateway. Users can perform statistical analysis to identify main- tenance and repair needs, set desired report intervals and receive alarm noti- fications. System reporting capabilities include current measurements, historic trending and vibration analysis. Marland Clutch, Chicago Pneumatic Power Touts Portable Compressor Chicago Pneumatic Power Tech- nique (CP) introduced the CPS 250, a single-stage, oil-injected, rotary screw portable compressor. Featuring new pressure adjusted through cognitive electronics (PACE) technology, the operator can now control the pressure of the machine. The new intuitive XC2003 controller is coupled with PACE functionality and adjusts the pressure in increments of two PSI. The operator can also toggle between two predefined set points. In addition to the new controller, CP increased the operating range of the compressor in the 100 to 150 psi range, making the machine more versatile and user friendly. "The increase in the operating range essentially makes this two machines in one," said Brent Sexton, product man- ager – portable compressors at CP. "The PACE functionality ensures the air flow matches the desired operating pressure to maximize output without compro- mising on fuel efficiency." Powered by a Tier 4 Final liquid-cooled four-cylinder turbocharged Kubota diesel engine, the CPS 250 runs at 65 hp. The exhaust treatment system is a diesel particular filter in diesel oxida- tion catalyst. The unit's cooling system consists of an integrated side-by-side aluminium oil cooler with axial fan for optimum cool- ing. Designed for a higher maximum working pressure, the air and oil sep- arator is equipped with a high pressure sealed and certified safety relief valve and automatic blow-down valve. Portable, powerful and tough, the CPS 250 has a hard hat canopy in a sound attenuated Zincor steel enclosure. The unit comes with a spillage-free frame as standard with 110% fluid containment. The machine was built with the same characteristics as the complete CP range, offering reliability, easy main- tenance, user-friendly features and economical operation.
