To date, HeidelbergCement has achieved a reduction of 20% and is in a leading position when it comes to the development of new technologies for CO2 sequestra- tion and use, e.g. by returning the CO2 into the material cycle of cement and concrete through recarbonation. "Concrete has the potential to become the most sustainable building material," said Dr. Bernd Scheifele, chairman of the managing board of HeidelbergCement. "Our goal is to realize the vision of CO2-neutral concrete by 2050 at the latest. In the coming years, we want to make significant progress in this direction, and the SBTi's approval is a clear proof of our strong commitment." A Carbon Disclosure Project, United Nations Global Com- pact, World Resources Institute and World Wide Fund for Nature collaboration, SBTi independently audits corporate CO2 emissions reduction targets mirroring 2015 Paris Agreement goals. Paris signatories aim to limit global tem- perature increases this century to 1.5 C through aggressive GHG emissions management. FLSmidth recently developed ECS/ UptimeGo, a downtime analysis solu- tion, to help plant staff identify issues that interrupt operation, and prevent unwanted future downtime. Real-time dashboards and Key Per- formance Indicators (KPIs) enable the measurement of the real impact of machine failures interrupting pro- duction. In addition, ECS/UptimeGo provides Pareto charts and the ability to monitor maintenance and reliability KPIs to give operators the fullest possi- ble picture of a downtime event and its causes. Having this information is vital in correcting the causes of stoppages, increasing asset utilization and return on assets. "ECS/UptimeGo shows how FLSmidth uses digital technologies and practi- cal experience to further enhance the productivity of cement and mining customers," said Mikael Lindholm, FLS- midth chief digital officer. The software can be integrated with existing process control systems and can be paired with FLSmidth ECS/Con- trolCenter for an automated process to gather all production stoppages. It also features a user-friendly graphic inter- face that allows operators to have all the information they need to fully document and analyze stoppages. By allowing businesses to significantly reduce the frequency of unplanned downtime, ECS/UptimeGo delivers a productivity gain to operations that will cover for the cost of the software many times over. With more than 70% of the parts and truck systems remaining intact, authorized Hyster and Yale deal- ers will be fully equipped to service and support the RICO-branded EX trucks. "The development of this program expands our existing partnership with RICO for the exclusive distribution of the RICO Pegasus Elite line of large-capacity, cushion-tire electric and internal-com- bustion counterbalance products," said Martin Boyd, vice president of product planning and solutions, Hyster-Yale Group. "Our industry-proven Hyster and Yale lift truck platforms as the foun- dation for a high-quality EX conversion by RICO helps meet the market's need for a high-quality, certified EX truck," Boyd continued. EX-rated trucks have specific protection measures, which allow them to operate in hazardous locations with potentially explosive or flammable vapors, liquids, dusts or fibers. The RICO certified EX conversions have been developed for operations in Class 1 – Division 1 & 2 Group D (gas) and Class 2 – Division 1 & 2 Group G (dust) environments. In addition to the initial EX conver- sion, RICO also offers a comprehensive recertification program to ensure that equipment continues to meet stringent EX compliance.
