Screening Accessories Midwestern manufactures many screening accessories in-house, designed to help you get the most out of your spe- cific screening application including: • Crown bar rubber: Necessary in preventing premature screen cloth damage, crown-bar rubber slips over the longi- tudinal crown bars on the vibrating screen and prevents the screen cloth from wearing against the crown bars. A large number of screen-cloth failures are caused by the absence of crown bar rubber to support the screen. Midwestern crown bar rubber is in stock and ready to ship. • Formed edges and hooks: Screening hooks, designed for tensioning, are available for most makes and models. Simply specify the angle and length of hook, plain or reinforced, and give an accurate outside hook dimension. • Side rail: Side rails go into the hook for tensioning pur- poses, and Midwestern can manufacture side rails for nearly every make and model of rectangular screeners. Screening Service and Delivery Because each application has its own unique set of parame- ters, Midwestern services all customers with 100% factory direct screening sales professionals. These screen-savvy cus- tomer service pros can go to each customer's location and measure screen panels to maximize specific solutions. To avoid cost debilitating downtime, Midwestern is focused on quick turnaround to accommodate customers' screen- ing application needs with quality products and on-time deliveries. Screening Conclusion According to Tim Carey, Midwestern's vice president of business development, "There are not that many weavers out there today, maybe 10 that actually weave aggregate wire cloth. The fact is, we weave our wire cloth to maximize custom needs – which is rare and provides our customers with unparalleled productivity advantages." Midwestern Industries, The Alliance Low Water Washer from Superior Industries allows you to wash crusher dust right next to the crushing circuit, eliminating the cost of handling and hauling these fines to a new washing circuit. This unit is designed with a small footprint, which allows it to be easily incorporated into an existing plant. The Alliance Low Water Washer agitates and dewaters material, turning tailings into a salable manufactured sand. Customers experience significantly less water consumption when washing straight off of a dry feed. The Alliance Low Water Washer is manufactured in models for rates up to 300 tph (272 mtph). The Alliance Low Water Washer accepts a dry feed from the crushing circuit. An agitator converts the material to a slurry before an integrated dewatering screen removes excess water, leaving as little as 8% moisture in the discharged manufactured sand. Superior says existing units have required as little 45 to 90 cu. meters/hour of water (200 to 400 gpm), depending on production rates. That's significantly less water consumption than a traditional screw or cyclone. Superior Industries, Superior Touts Alliance Low Water Washer
