CRUSHING BREAKING Terex Cedarapids Portable HSI Plant Features Crusher Discharge Design CRUSHER BUCKET Designed for use with excavators in the 25to 34-metric-ton weight range, the Montabert CRB 751 crusher bucket attachment enables producers to process and recycle various hard materials – including stone, concrete and asphalt debris – directly on the work site. With a capacity of 1.05 cu. yd. and a wide bucket opening, the 7,700lb. CRB 751 crushes up to 52.3 cu. yd. of material per hour. Montabert, www.montabert.com Terex Minerals Processing Systems (Terex MPS) has expanded its CR Series portable plant line with the addition of the Terex Cedarapids CRH1316 horizontal shaft im‐ pact crushing plant. This large‐capacity, highly portable, electric plant features a large undercrusher vibrat‐ ing pan feeder to accept the high‐velocity crusher discharge material and convey it to the straight‐line product conveyor. This unique design eliminates impact damage to the conveyor belt and maintains maximum belt tension to prevent slippage, while pro‐ viding a very large discharge opening to prevent blockages. "This new plant addresses the issue of han‐ dling the high‐velocity discharge from im‐ pact style crushers," said Ed Sauser, product manager at Terex Minerals Processing Sys‐ tems. "As with all of our new CR Series portable plants, it was developed with input from numerous customers. Our plants include many design features that simplify maintenance and allow plants to be mated and configured to meet various customer needs." This new plant also offers a variety of op‐ tions including a self‐cleaning magnet, elec‐ trical panel with hydraulic lift, hinged hopper extensions and hydraulic run‐on jacks. To complement the CRH1316, Terex MPS has also released the new CRC380X and CRC450X cone plants and the CRS6203V screen plant. These units can mate up with the impactor plant to create a large capacity closed cir‐ cuit crushing and screening system without the need of additional interplant conveyors. Terex Minerals Processing Systems, www.terexmps.com Emerson Hybrid Coupling Manages Torsional Vibration The Kop‐Flex MAX‐C WB hybrid coupling is a new solution for managing torsional vi‐ bration in high‐performance drivetrains powered by synchronous motors, variable‐ frequency drives and diesel engines, or those driving reciprocating machinery or handling shock loads. Developed by the Kop‐Flex unit of Emer‐ son's Power Transmission Solutions busi‐ ness, the design combines a maintenance‐free, non‐lubricated MAX‐C resilient coupling half with a lightweight di‐ 22 ROCKproducts • SEPTEMBER 2013 aphragm, disc or high‐performance gear coupling half, depending on the application. The hybrid design matches the advantages of a low‐cost, lightweight flexible coupling half for the driven shaft, with the vibration‐ damping of a MAX‐C coupling half on the motor end. The maintenance‐free MAX‐C dampens high drivetrain torque loads, while the overall hybrid design reduces weight, cost and inertia, eliminating the need for oversized and costlier drivetrain components. www.rockproducts.com
