This saves money by reducing operating costs. Undetected hydraulic fluid leaks cost the mining industry untold amounts of money. This includes the costs of fluid re‐ placement, problematic system opera‐ tion, equipment breakdown, fines for environmental contamination, and the possibility of fluid injection injuries to personnel. It has been estimated that in North America alone, over 100 million gal. (380 million liters) of hydraulic fluid could be saved every year if leakage was eliminated. FluidSafe is ideal for preventive main‐ tenance. When used in combination with a SafetyBlu blue light inspection kit or blue lens filter specially de‐ signed to fit over a variety of mining lamps, it can easily detect fluid leaks that are usually very hard to find. The exact source of even extremely small leaks is pinpointed by its bright green fluorescent glow. Users have reported a 5‐7 percent sav‐ ings in hydraulic fluid consumption. At $5 per gal. ($1.30 per liter) for hydraulic fluid, these savings are equivalent to $0.25 to $0.35 per gal. (3.8 L) – vastly surpassing the cost of FluidSafe. FluidSafe is available in two specially formulated blends to work with both oil‐based hydraulic fluids and oil‐in‐ water emulsion hydraulic fluids. These dedicated snow pushers offer aggregates producers an alternative to buckets and traditional windrow plowing for providing winter mainte‐ nance of parking lots, haul roads and roadways. The snow pushers – which mount to all Doosan general purpose and light‐ material buckets – are available in two widths. A 12‐ft. wide attachment weighs 2,200 lb., while the 14‐ft. wide versions weighs 2,400 lb. Both snow pushers are approved for use on the DL200‐3, DL200TC‐3, DL220‐3, DL250‐3, DL250TC‐3, DL300‐3 wheel loader models. Featuring a 47‐in. high moldboard and a 1.5‐in. rubber cutting edge, the snow pushers are designed for handling high‐capacity snow removal. The Doosan snow pusher design also fea‐ tures high‐grade steel shoes and a 12‐ in. push beam for durability. Three support tubes measuring 3 in. long by 1.5 in. wide by 3/16 in. thick lend sup‐ port to the overall strength of the snow pushers. Doosan, www.doosan.com
