In the event of a parameter warning or alert, the user can then request an "On Demand Diagnostic," whereby the data is sent wirelessly with the single push of a button to the SKF Remote Diagnos- tic Center (RDC) network for expert analysis and reporting. Unlike route-based systems or ded- icated high-end vibration analyzers – requiring high levels of staff compe- tence and especially costly for one-off data measurements – SKF Enlight pro- vides low-cost, fast and easy-to-use in- strumentation with instant connection to SKF expertise. For data collection in hazardous areas, specially built and in- trinsically safe ATEX Zone 1-compliant smartphones and tablets have been developed for the job. SKF Enlight consists of Data Collect (the app) and the SKF Wireless Ma- chine Condition Detector (WMCD), a sensor that mounts magnetically to a machine and measures vibration data. The data is relayed to Data Collect via Bluetooth for visualization and vibra- tion levels are benchmarked against ISO standards. The user sees the as- sessment as a simple "traffic light" (red, amber or green) indicator. If an "On Demand Diagnostic" is warranted, a SKF RDC expert then would analyze the data and send a report on the cause of any fault with recommended reme- dial actions to the user's email account. The WMCD sensor additionally takes a simultaneous measurement of bear- ing condition using patented SKF al- gorithms to assess severity of any damage or wear. These results are dis- played in traffic-light format and can be sent for on-demand SKF analysis and recommendations. SKF USA Inc., www.skfusa.com SKF Combines Mobile App, Vibration Sensor for Data Collection Thunder Creek Equipment has intro- duced its all-new FST Series trailers – available in 500-, 750- and 990-gal. diesel capacities with a 100-gal. DEF tank and an optional field-installed rear utility box. The new FST Series combines the best of Thunder Creek's fuel, DEF and service transportation technologies into a single design while retaining the company's focus on craftsmanship with heavy gauge steel, patented/patent-pending designs and premium options that allow contrac- tors to spec each trailer to meet the demands of their work. The rear utility box is 55 percent larger than previous designs and can be in- stalled on any FST Series trailer at any time – allowing owners looking for ba- sic fuel transportation to later build out their own mobile service trailer as their needs evolve. Options include a three- in-one welder/generator/air compres- sor, an auxiliary oil tank, a Worksight light tower and a Field Max tire kit. All Thunder Creek trailers are built with a low profile and baffled fuel tanks, making them suitable for trav- eling both on-road at highway speeds and off-road on large jobsites. With more than double the capacity for tools and storage, FST Series trailers have 75 cu. ft. of space in the front and pump enclosures, and an additional 60 cu. ft. in the optional rear utility box that can outfitted at the time of pur- chase or field-installed at a later date. Hatch-style doors open to give unre- stricted access to the pumping systems, controls and options. All interfaces are now positioned ergonomically at the operator's natural height. The fully baffled fuel tanks are now taller, which reduces the overall length of the trailer. The front enclosure is narrower for better maneuvering. This makes for one of the most towable trailers on the market today. With seven-gauge steel and dou- ble-welded seams, Thunder Creek has always been known for craftsman- ship and durability. With a 25-percent stronger frame, FST Series trailers are built to withstand continual off-road use in environments ranging from oil and gas pipelines to road construction. Replaceable fenders and a rock guard provide the ultimate protection from rock chips and damage over the life of the trailer.
