The all-purpose hydrau- lic breaker provides operators with superior power-to-weight ratio and can easily demolish oversized boul- ders and thick concrete, delivering up to 870 blows per minute. It is ideal for use with backhoe loaders and exca- vators weighing between 17,637 and 39,683 lb., perfect for applications in quarries, road building, demolition and trenching. Its standard features include a blank-fire protection and energy recovery system that recycles energy to increase striking power. An automatic lubrication system and a fully enclosed cradle reduce noise, protect against debris and impact damage, and reduce wear. The 501 NG falls within the 2,000 ft.-lb. impact energy class and requires a hydraulic flow rate between 21 and 37 gal.-per-minute. Montabert offers eight SC-Series hydraulic breaker models designed for use with skid-steer loaders, backhoe loaders and mini-ex- cavators weighing between 2,200 and 30,850 lb. The models on display include the SC 42 and SC 28, designed for lighter demolition applications and featuring fully enclosed, sound-proof cradles to minimize harmful vibrations, limit jobsite noise and protect working parts from dust and debris. These light- range hydraulic breakers have few wear parts and no tie rods for simplified rou- tine maintenance. Montabert, www.montabertusa.com Sandvik Sandvik added a new machine to its scalper range with the introduction of the new Sandvik QE441 Free Flow, a versatile and highly efficient solution for processing difficult-to-screen mate- rials and products with high moisture contents. The QE441 Free Flow pro- vides a versatile and highly efficient mobile solution for handling sticky, moist and wet materials with a high percentage of fines. It is an ideal solu- tion for processing materials such as soils, aggregates, ores, waste, biomass and other waste derived fuels including products with high moisture contents. The unit is designed based on the sturdy crusher-style chassis of the class-lead- ing Sandvik QE441, combined with a highly productive and aggressive dou- ble-deck Free Flow screen. The heavy duty scalping screen allows users to process large un-screened material on the rigid scalping top deck, while pro- viding a fine screening solution on the dual motion lower deck. Sandvik, www.sandvik.com SSAB SSAB displayed its products designed to fight wear and weight in a wide range of applications, including trailer chas- sis and dump bodies for the trucking industry, as well as applications for aggregates, earth moving, lifting, asphalt and concrete. The new Hardox 500 Tuf delivers an exceptional combination of strength, hardness and toughness. Superior wear and dent resistance gives long service life and the ability to with- stand heavy impact. Also on display was the Hardox wear stairs, demonstrating how different Hardox grades deliver increasing wear resistance and service life, while at the same time reducing the weight of parts and products oper- ating in wear-critical environments. "Advancing from traditional steel to Strenx 110 XF performance steel can save weight and increase payload for trailer chassis," said Gregoire Parenty, EVP SSAB Services. Crane manufac- turer Effer demonstrated how Strenx 1100 performance steel makes its Effer 2055 crane lighter and stronger. Duroxite 400, a new extension to the Duroxite range of overlay products, was also introduced. SSAB, www.hardox.com, www.ssab.com Stedman Machine Co. The Stedman Model H-54 multi-cage mill is best at pulverizing, grinding, crushing and mixing abrasive and non-abrasive materials – wet, sticky or dry. The H-Series provides a finer, more uniform grind; can handle up to 240 tph and are reversible for extended wear life. Stedman cage mills are engineered and constructed to oper- ate at or near-peak efficiency longer, providing a greater return on capital investment over their life. Cage mills are capable of producing a variety of product gradations and easily adjusted by changing the mill's cages, speeds and rotation. The H-Series Cage Mills feature a quick-opening housing for quick inspection and maintenance. It allows for minimum downtime for wear part replacement and inspec- tion. Each H-Series Impact Mill housing can accommodate two-, four- or six-row cage assemblies. This versatility is fur- ther enhanced by the capability to vary the number of pins in each row, to vary the rotational speed of each cage in relation to the other(s), and to change the relative direction of rotation of the cages. For wet material applications, air cannons are mounted at the intake and discharge to help prevent buildup of wet material. Stedman Machine Co., www.stedman-machine.com
