The latest John Deere telematics relationship allows customers to access data from all machines in a fleet from one location. "By continuing to establish and build relationships with lead- ing telematics hardware and software providers like LHPT, we're providing our fleet managers with choices and increas- ing their efficiency and profitability daily," said Andrew Kahler, product marketing manager, John Deere WorkSight. "This further enhances the John Deere telematics platform, giving customers the flexibility to track data from their entire fleet. By combining all manufacturers' telematics data platforms in one application, customers can optimize their fleet man- agement decisions and eliminate manual data as well as the need to switch from one manufacturer's portal to the other." LHP Telematics LHP Telematics is a provider of customized telematics solu- tions uniquely designed for serving the most rugged of work environments, providing OEMs with greater value and under- standing of how operators use their equipment as well as how that equipment performs. As part of the collaboration, John Deere customers will have direct access to valuable infor- mation, such as like meter readings, locations, fault codes, utilization hours and fuel consumption data for their entire fleet, regardless of the manufacturer. "The ability to centralize fleet data into a single portal is a key factor in the long-term value proposition of telematics," said Travis Jones, chief technology officer, LHP Telematics. "The first version of the Association of Equipment Manage- ment Professionals (AEMP) data standard provided a good foundation for the next version, which includes additional data points and faults. The LHP Telematics system, in con- junction with John Deere WorkSight, will allow customers to use a broad variety of aftermarket telematics devices, and will enable them to pull advanced data from Deere and other OEM systems, into a single, easy-to-use portal." In conjunction with LHP Telematics, John Deere offers an advanced interface for customers seeking the most up-to-date diagnostic information across their machines. Fleet managers can easily connect LHP Telematics hardware to the MyJohn- Deere.com environment when they need to order parts or manuals, or when they want have a closer look at John Deere equipment in the JDLink Dashboard. John Deere chose LHP Telematics based on its interoper- ability with WorkSight technologies and ease of use with customers. JDLink Subscriptions Extended In an effort to better meet the needs of today's customer and the evolving job site, John Deere is extending its JDLink in-base subscription service from three to five years on construction and forestry machines. The update is a result of increased customer interest in technology and the integration of 4G hardware in John Deere equipment. The extension allows John Deere to stay connected with machines beyond the warranty period and unlocks additional functionality and value. "The JDLink connection is foundational to John Deere and our channel's ability to monitor the customer's machine and improve uptime," said Jena Holtberg-Benge, director, John Deere WorkSight. "Extending it in base from three to five years across all product lines enables us to connect to people, equip- ment, technology and insights in order to provide exceptional support and value-added solutions that solve customers' pain points and needs." JDLink is a telematics system designed to remotely connect owners and managers to their equipment, and to provide alerts and machine information, including location, utiliza- tion, performance and maintenance data to manage where and how equipment is used. The JDLink equipment man- agement solution is the heart of John Deere WorkSight – a technology tool that helps customers be more productive, avoid downtime and keep costs low. Equipment covered in this extension includes crawler dozers, excavators, tractor loaders, wheel loaders and many others. Previously, only heavy equipment had five years in base, including articulated dump trucks; the 1050K crawler dozer; 470G, 670G and 870G excavators; and 744K-II, 824K-II, 844K- II, 844K-III and 944K wheel loaders. A three-year option will remain for skid steer loaders and compact track loaders. John Deere, JohnDeere.com, www.lhptelematics.com John Deere, LHP Telematics Collaborate to Simplify Data Management
