Manufactured for the existing ALLU D-Series material processor bucket frames, the core of the ALLU TS technol - ogy is the configuration of the screening blades that spin between the screening combs. The end product size is defined by the space between the combs, and different fragment sizes can be achieved simply by repositioning the combs. Because the screening combs carry most of the material weight, the drums and bearings experience less impact and load. The design of the assembly ensures the machine works well in wet and dry materials without clogging. The TS drums are available with two dif- ferent blade types: standard blades for screening applications and axe blades when a crushing or shredding effect is required. Blade sizes available include 0.63/1.26 in. (16/32 mm), 0.98/1.97 in. (25/50 mm) and 1.38 in. (35 mm). The TS assembly is available in seven differ- ent models for 17.6- to 49.6-ton (16- to 45-metric ton) excavators and 7.7- to 33-ton (7- to 3 0 - m e t r i c ton) wheel loaders. ALLU, www. allu.net Kolberg-Pioneer Inc. (KPI) launched its latest patent-pending hybrid technol- ogy in its GT440 mobile horizontal shaft impactor (HSI). The GT440's full line features a 42 x 40 HSI crusher, which can be offered in a 3- or 4-bar rotor configu- ration, allowing the end user to choose the best solution for the application. Continuous crushing and tracking allows producers to increase uptime by 30 percent. The unit's Overload Protection System allows end users the ability to maximize performance and production. "The new GT440 HSI offers produc- ers flexibility through mobility, quick set-up and the new patent-pending hybrid power, which offers the option to run on either line power or diesel power when necessary," said Stephen Whyte, product manager for KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens. The GT440 Hybrid HSI was released at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017 in Las Vegas. The new solution simplifies crushing operations, incorporates significant noise protection and cuts dust emis- sions remarkably, minimizing the impact for people living and working around construction sites. "We developed this new solution to make it possible to run crushing oper- ations in the most heavily regulated urban environments. Obtaining envi- ronmental permits is very tough when crushing in densely populated areas. The new Lokotrack Urban series, how- ever, provides robust crushing power while minimizing the impact for people and communities around the site," said Jouni Hulttinen, product manager, Lokotrack mobile crushing plants. Environmental permits usually regu- late the noise level caused by crushing operations. From an occupational health and safety perspective, 85 decibels is considered the exposure limit and ear protection is required, although even lower levels can be disturbing for those living or working around crushing sites. With the noise-protected Lokotrack Urban LT106, the required protection distance drops up to 60 percent from 23-25 meters to 9-11 meters (from 75-82 ft. to 30-36 ft.) Outside this area, the sensory impact on the human ear can be even more significant. "The test results are impressive. Nat- urally, we need to keep in mind that process noise is also highly dependent on other equipment used on site. The new Urban series is first of its kind that adapts to all crushing operations and actively protects the health and safety of the plant personnel and civilians," Hulttinen continued. In addition to very low noise emissions, the Lokotrack Urban series includes an advanced dust-suppression system. Dust is funneled to stay inside the mobile crushing plant and a high-pres- sure water spraying system absorbs most dust particles from the air. The environmental features integrated into the crushing plant do not require any special maintenance. Metso, www.metso.com ALLU Offers New Drum Assembly
