Twenty-three magnet sizes, 69 standard models and hundreds of designs are available to suit specific application requirements. Approved by leading safety agencies, these air-cooled, dry-type electromagnets require no coolant fluids and reduce power consumption by up to 50 percent. UL-Listed construction is offered on units for use in hazardous, dusty and gassy locations. Eriez manufactures both Manual Cleaning (MC) and Self Cleaning (SC) models. All SE Series 7000 Suspended Electro- magnets are backed by Eriez' exclusive five year coil warranty the longest in the industry! SE Series 7000 Suspended Electromagnets feature several new design elements such as state-of-the-art, adjustable oil expansion tanks that prevent condensation and protect against hot spots to extend coil life. An array of special options are also available, including upgraded coil design for elevations greater than 3,000 ft. above sea level, high fire point coolants, zero speed switches, dust covers, pulley guards and controls, permanent exten- sions and monitoring devices, force-cooled units for high temperature applications and more. Eriez, Flexicon Screw Conveyor With Trough Hopper Accommodates Multiple Material Sources A new Flexicon flexible screw conveyor with trough hopper can receive material from multiple outlets of feeders, grind- ers, blenders and other process equipment. The hopper features an extended-length charging adapter that exposes 45 in. (1143 mm) of the flexible screw rotating within an inclined U-shaped trough to charge material enter- ing the hopper at any point. The rugged inner screw is the only moving part contacting material, and is offered in numerous designs to handle both free- and non-free-flowing materials, including products that pack, cake or smear, with no separation of blends. As it rotates, the flexible screw self-centers within the tube, providing ample clearance between the screw and tube wall to eliminate or minimize degradation. Material exits the conveyor below the drive point, precluding contact with bearings or seals. The hopper is equipped with a stainless steel grate for worker safety, and to prevent oversized particles from enter- ing the conveyor. Smooth, crevice-free surfaces of the screw and tube interior allow in-place flushing with water, steam or cleaning solu- tions through a lower clean-out cap and/or upper discharge housing. The flexible screw can also be removed through the clean-out for separate sanitizing and inspection of the polymer conveyor tube and stainless steel hopper, as well as the screw. Other equipment manufactured by the company includes tubular cable conveyors, pneumatic conveying systems, bulk bag dischargers, bulk bag conditioners, bulk bag fillers, bag dump stations, drum/box/container dumpers, weigh batching systems and engineered plant-wide bulk handling systems with automated controls.
