INNOVATIONS Metso Unveils Latest Crushing and Screening Products Metso distributors and customers from throughout North America converged on Columbia, S.C. on Oct. 24‐25, for Metso's 2012 New Product Expo. New Metso products un‐ veiled include the HP3 cone crusher, C120 jaw crusher, Lokotrack ST2.4 mobile screen, CT3.2 mobile conveyor, LT106 jaw plant and the latest vibrating equipment. In addition to showcasing new products, Metso also re‐in‐ troduced its GP cone crusher product line. Other Metso products featured included spare and wear parts, conveyor accessories, pumps and Trellex screening media solutions. "We greatly appreciate the time our distributors and cus‐ tomers are taking to attend Metso's 2012 New Product Expo," said Adrian Quigg, Metso's vice president, distribu‐ tor sales, Americas. "This event helps us continue to build strong relationships and to share exciting information about our new products, and we always receive great feedback from our customers." Guests attended product presentations and viewed the new Metso equipment, including a large outdoor display of new and existing tracked machines. Metso product ex‐ perts were also on hand to share information, answer questions and speak about their specialties one‐on‐one. "When starting the C120 project, we listened closely to our customers and collected field data from a number of sites. Based on that, we decided to design the crusher cav‐ ity and kinematics first. As a result, Metso can now offer aggregates producers, large‐scale contractors and mining companies a new crusher that meets all the standards set for any demanding application," said Ilkka Somero, Metso's product manager for jaw crushers. The HP3 provides the highest reduction ratios of any cone crusher in its class, producing finer products using fewer crushing stages, saving customers both on energy and op‐ erating costs, Metso said. The higher cavity density of the HP3 improves inter‐particle crushing action for end prod‐ ucts with consistent gradation and superior shape. "There are so many things you can point to that make this new Lokotrack LT106 better than the previous one," said Tommi Lehtonen, Metso vice president, Mobiles. "It is com‐ pletely re‐engineered, design work was driven by our close PRODUCT FEATURES: n The C120 is easy to install, thanks to its compact design, and includes an optional integrated motor bed and guards. n The HP3 provides the highest reduction ratios of any cone crusher in its class, producing finer products using fewer crushing stages, saving customers both on energy and operating costs. n The LT106 is built around Metso's proven and enhanced C106 jaw, featuring a 42-in. x 28-in.
