Featuring the company's exclusive Oasis WetSeal System, the new model provides the ultimate in protection against corrosive chemicals and fertilizers. "Our new FMC-755FS-HYD pump is the latest addition to our very popular MAX Series," noted Andy Randle, president of Ace Pump Corp. "It allows equip- ment owners and operators to plan their applications without the worries of unexpected downtime during critical application windows. This is even more important with new chemical formu- lations requiring strict attention to atmospheric conditions." The new FMC-755FS-HYD features a flanged 316 stainless steel wet end, including the seal plate, volute and impeller, for superior corrosion resis- tance. The seal plate was enlarged for a cleaner design that simplifies assem- bly and service. And, like the earlier cast iron version, two motor sizes are available to fit a wide range of hydraulic systems. Ace Pump Corp., www.acepumps.com Netzsch Announces Mine Dewatering Pumps and Pump Skids Netzsch Pumps North America and its German headquar- ters Netzsch Pumps & Systems announced the availability of safe, reliable and cost-efficient mine dewatering pumps and pump skids ideal for mines that require a small and compact movable unit to address their dewatering challenges. Also available for mining applications are Nemo progressive cavity pumps and the self-priming, valve-less Tornado T2 positive displacement pump. The base mine dewatering pump skid unit includes a tank, progressing cavity pump with right angle gear motor, inspec- tion ladder, valves and piping – all mounted on a common galvanized steel skid. Also available are optional units with a control panel (with or without VFD on a removable stand) and instrumentation, including high/low level switches for the tank or dry run protection for the pump. Individual pumps are available to retrofit existing skids. The tank includes baffle/divider screens to filter out any solids too big to fit through the pump. The pump is located to the side of the tank, enabling easier access and maintenance. The standard unit uses a right angle gearmotor to save space and eliminate the need for a belt drive, but belt and pulley designs are also available. Operator safety is enhanced by the inclusion of a removable inspection ladder with handrails and a removable safety screen for the tank. Available in a wide range of flow and pressure capabilities, the pump and tank can be constructed from carbon steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and Halar/rubber-lined steel, depending on application needs. Netzsch also offers the Nemo progressive cavity pump, known for its continuous, pressure-stable, gentle and low-pulsa- tion conveyance of almost any process fluid without being affected by fluctuations in pressure and viscosity. Another option for mining applications is the Tornado T2 positive displacement pump, a self-priming, valve-less pump that offers maximum operational performance, high reliabil- ity and durability, ease of maintenance, and a low total life cycle cost. With a design that has been recently reengineered to max- imize uptime, the Tornado T2 pump features metal lobes running inside a metal housing with an elastomer liner.
