Among the new products are the latest 4-20mA Transmitters, or Loop Powered Sensors, the new M12 Cable Assemblies with protective conduits and Snap On Quick Release Cables. With the capability of interfacing directly into PLC, BMS or SCADA, the 4-20mA Transmitters/Loop Powered Sensors (LPS) are ideal for online monitoring. Using Hansford Sensors' 4-20mA devices to measure lower value assets, such as fans and pumps, offers a cost-effective alternative when AC components are not required. Meanwhile, Hansford Sensors has made life easier for vibration moni- toring engineers by adding M12 Cable Assemblies with protective conduits and Snap On Quick Release Cables to the product list. The HS-AC190 is the latest in Hans- ford Sensors' series of robust cable assemblies for tough industrial appli- cations. With 2-pin MS connector and stainless steel protective conduit the assembly can withstand operating temperatures of up to 150 degrees with high levels of resistance to chemical attack, while Snap On Quick Release Cables enable easier installation and maintenance. Hansford Sensors vibration monitoring equipment is used to enhance efficiency across a wide range of applications, including mining and quarrying. Hansford Sensors, Goodyear Launches Tire Performance Monitoring System Tires can be critical to the success of mining, construction, quarry and port operations, and they can represent a significant investment for businesses in those sectors. To help optimize the performance of tires for these industries, The Good- year Tire & Rubber Co. has launched a significantly enhanced version of its EMTrack OTR tire monitoring system, which is available to Goodyear custom- ers worldwide. "The completely updated Goodyear EMTrack tire performance monitoring system will enable faster, even more accurate collection of critical tire data like tread depth, inflation levels and other indicators," said Eric Matson, global field engineering manager, Goodyear. "The enhanced EMTrack system also offers convenient, cloud-based data storage and more robust reporting capabilities thanks to the addition of the newly introduced Goodyear EMTrack App," he said. "This will give mining, construction, quarry and port operators an enhanced platform so they can make even more informed decisions about their valuable tire assets." Here's how the Goodyear EMTrack system works: •  Trained Goodyear tire technicians perform fleet surveys, using a special Goodyear EMTrack scanning tool to capture tire inflation, tread depth and other critical measurements. • Tire performance data automatically uploads via Bluetooth to a cloud-based platform for password-protected storage and easy access. •  End users download the data into easy-to-read, customizable reports that show tire performance. "Through the Goodyear EMTrack App, a user can view collected tire data and reports simultaneously and in real time, regardless of their geographic location, for complete visibility," said Matson. End users can view performance data for their tires across their operation and even zero in on specific tires, calculating cost-per-hour, cost-per-ton and other key metrics. "Among other benefits, this will help end users identify, if applicable, main- tenance opportunities to help ensure optimal tire performance," he said. "And the information collected through Goodyear EMTrack can also help in forecasting future tire requirements. "The needs of our customers are con- tinually evolving," Matson added. "The trusted products, worldwide support, reliable services and management tools that Goodyear offers – such as EMTrack – are also evolving. We are confident that the enhanced Goodyear EMTrack system can help improve end users' operational efficiency and help lower their operating costs."
