y any measure, 2014 was a banner year for Rock Products. With a healthy
increase in advertising and ever‐expanding editorial coverage, our media
reach has never been greater.
But there is even bigger news coming in 2015.
The National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) and Rock Products are
teaming up to support the industry's Young Leaders. Rock Products has been
named Official Sponsor of the Mark S. Walsh Annual Leadership Award – present‐
ed each year at the Young Leaders annual convention – to an individual who exem‐
plifies the leadership traits of professionalism, enthusiasm and commitment, and
whose efforts in improving and developing the image and programs of the Young
Leaders are in keeping with the example set forth by the honoree of this award.
In addition to the Mark S. Walsh Annual Leadership Award, Rock Products will be
the Lead Sponsor of NSSGA's inaugural Young Leaders luncheon event held March
17, 2015, in conjunction with AGG1 and NSSGA's Annual Convention in Baltimore.
We are excited and proud to partner with NSSGA to focus on the future of the
aggregates industry.
But wait, there's more. Rock Products continues to stretch the borders of its North
American market coverage.
The educational program at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers' (AEM)
CONEXPO Latin America 2015 show will feature a new one‐day aggregates con‐
ference organized by Rock Products.
In addition, Mining Media International will launch a new supplement, La Cantera
(The Quarry), specifically for Latin American aggregates producers: a joint project
of Rock Products and Equipo Minero magazines.
We are honored to work with AEM on this important event for the Latin American
market.
And Rock Products will continue to pursue exclusive coverage of the growing frac
sand industry. More than 200 people gathered in Pittsburgh Nov. 16‐18, 2014, for
Rock Products' second Frac Sand Insider conference. Both the number of exhibitors
and attendees exceeded the first show, also held in Pittsburgh last year.
Look for an exciting announcement about additional Frac Sand Insider initiatives
coming in 2015.
Finally, in 2014 we soft‐launched our "Rock
Products Connection" online aggregates com‐
munity. You'll be hearing more about that in
2015.
